As a long-standing tradition at UW Tacoma, the Outstanding Student Ceremony for Awards and Recognition, better known as the OSCARs, highlights and awards student leaders for their dedication and passion for the UW Tacoma and our surrounding community. The Ceremony also features moments to highlight and promote the dedicated staff and faculty who help shape the student experience at UW Tacoma. Every year, students can nominate their peers, their faculty members, and staff members, along with themselves for 4 Students' Choice Awards and our Big Three Awards, which are reviewed and decided by a committee of faculty, staff, and student members. The OSCARS is also an event on campus for nominees, nominators, guests and UW Tacoma students to attend to celebrate the incredible achievements completed by the UW Tacoma community.
