Trans Day of Visibility!

This year at UWT the CEI will be hosting two poetry and art workshops on Feb. 12th & Feb 26th hosted by Professor Ever Jones to develop a creative expression of our stories and experiences. The products from these workshops will be centered during the March 31st evening event.

On March 31st:

Morning 8-10 AM = Sidewalk Chalk Drawings & Donuts

Husky Hour 12:30-1:30 PM = Crafting & Cupcakes in JRC

Evening 4-8 PM = Student Art & Poetry Exhibition. Open Mic Storytelling, & a Delicious Dinner

About TDoV: Each year on March 31, the world observes Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) to raise awareness about transgender people. It is a day to celebrate the lives and contributions of trans people, while also drawing attention to the disproportionate levels of poverty, discrimination, and violence the community faces.
