This event is in connection with the main event: Art Expression is an LGBTQ+ community event where anyone can share their passions for art, music, singing, dancing, photography, and poetry. Share your art with the UWT community! There will be scheduled drag performances to celebrate LGBTQ+ pride and expression.
General Info:
The Art Expression is an event hosted by University of Washington Tacoma Students. The event is FREE and open to the public for viewing and participation. Use the submission form (QR code or link below) if you want to participate in the art gallery and/or open mic. Free dinner will be served at about 5:00 PM. There will be prizes for best in show, best RSO/Department artwork, and best performance. Voting will occur at the event.
Submit Artwork and/or Performance here or use QR code in flyer: https://forms.gle/aPaWTgY1vTydfCrv5
Art Gallery:
The open gallery begins at 11 AM for set up and ends at 9 PM. You must submit your work in the Google Form to be featured in the exhibition. All artworks must be brought and set up in the WPH on the day of the gallery starting at 11 AM and cleared by the end of the night at 9 PM. We strongly recommend bringing a small display stand for your artwork to be placed on tables as we may run out quickly. For literary arts, you may frame your work (i.e. poem) or print a booklet for viewing (short story), or make copies for people to take.
Open Mic:
For performers, we will likely schedule your performance to occur at an approximate time to maintain a seamless flow to the event.
